When you’ve carried trauma, grief, pressure or self doubt for a long time, your system adapts to survive. Over time, those coping strategies can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or no longer yourself.
Counselling with me offers a grounded, body led and integrative space to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and to find a way forward that honours your nervous system, your story, and your pace.
My work blends counselling and psychotherapy with a body led, trauma responsive approach, so we can meet your whole system, not just your thoughts. Together, we explore the patterns, beliefs and body responses shaped by your experiences, in a way that feels safe, real and sustainable.
I work in a trauma responsive, body aware and relational way. That means we move at your pace, track what’s happening in your nervous system, and use support that helps you stay present rather than overwhelmed.
Sometimes this looks like gentle talking. Sometimes it involves somatic awareness, resourcing or stabilisation practices that support your system as it changes.
Counselling with me is...
You do not need to know which modality you need before you come.
These pathways simply describe the different ways we can work together.
A supportive space to unpack your story, emotions and inner world without judgement. This work is informed by psychotherapy and grounded in somatic, trauma responsive practice. Together we explore patterns, beliefs and relational dynamics so you can reconnect with what feels steady, true and sustainable.
A body led approach to trauma processing that uses bilateral stimulation, nervous system tracking and present moment awareness. Somatic EMDR supports the resolution of long held experiences without forcing you to relive the past or overwhelm your system.
A conscious connected breathing practice that supports preverbal and prenatal patterning. It helps release stored tension, old emotional layers and stuck patterns held in the body. Rebirthing can support identity shifts, deep exhaustion, inner clarity and the parts of your story that words cannot easily reach.
Counselling with me supports women who are moving through experiences that pull them away from their centre, including:
Healing happens when your system feels safe enough to open. I work in a body led, trauma responsive way, drawing on somatic awareness, parts work, and nervous system support as needed. We follow your pace, your story, and what your body is ready for.
Your body has been carrying the story long before you could name it. When you’ve lived through trauma, overwhelm or years of holding everything together, your system learns to protect you through tension, numbness, hypervigilance or collapse.
Somatic counselling helps you come back into relationship with the parts of you that had to disconnect to survive.
Together we listen to your breath, your impulses, the subtle shifts under the surface. We track what happens in your body when you talk about stress, identity changes, grief or long-held pressure. We move slowly so your nervous system feels safe enough to soften rather than brace. This work helps you notice where you override yourself, where you disappear, where you hold too much, and where your body is asking for a different kind of support.
You don’t need to be embodied or “good at feeling” to begin. We start exactly where your system is. Over time, somatic counselling helps you find your centre again, build inner steadiness, and move forward in ways that don’t require you to abandon yourself.

Psychotherapy gives you space to understand the deeper threads running through your life. The patterns, relationships, attachment wounds and old roles that have shaped how you show up, love, protect, hide, or push yourself.
This is the work we do when you’re ready to go beyond coping and into understanding. We explore the stories you inherited, the beliefs you absorbed, and the versions of you that formed in response to pain, expectation or survival. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is pushed. We follow what feels true and alive in each session.
As a transpersonal counsellor, I also hold the spiritual, intuitive and existential parts of your journey. Identity shifts. Motherhood transitions. Soul-level exhaustion. The sense that your life no longer fits who you’re becoming.
Together we build a steadier internal ground so you can move forward with more freedom, clarity and compassion. This work meets you in the depth and helps you rise from it.
Trauma lives in the nervous system as unfinished experience. When something is too overwhelming at the time it happens, the body adapts to survive. Over time, this can show up as shutdown, hypervigilance, overthinking, people-pleasing, staying constantly busy, or carrying more responsibility than is yours.
Somatic EMDR is the primary framework I use to support trauma resolution. It works with the brain and nervous system to gently process experiences that could not be completed when they first occurred. Instead of reliving the story, we follow the body’s natural rhythm, using bilateral stimulation and present-moment tracking to allow stuck responses to soften and move through. What once felt impossible to carry can begin to shift.
Parts awareness weaves in naturally during this work. As EMDR unfolds, we often meet protective responses that formed to keep you safe. These are not problems to fix, but intelligent adaptations with a purpose. We approach them with curiosity and respect, learning what they’ve been holding and what they need now, without forcing change or insight.
This work is body-led, precise and deeply respectful of your pace. Sessions move slowly enough for your system to stay regulated, supported and resourced. Many clients describe this as the first time they’ve understood their reactions not as flaws, but as nervous system responses shaped by experience, and the first time they’ve felt a sense of internal steadiness and leadership instead of chaos.
Rebirthing breathwork works with layers of experience that formed before words, memory or conscious story. Many of the patterns we live with around safety, attachment, control, trust and belonging were shaped early, often in utero, during birth, or in the first months of life, when the nervous system was learning how to survive.
These experiences are not stored as thoughts or narratives. They live in the body, in breath patterns, muscle tone, reflexes and nervous system responses. This is why talking alone does not always reach them. Rebirthing uses conscious, connected breathing to gently access these preverbal layers. The breath creates a bridge between the conscious mind and the deeper body memory where early imprints are held. As the breath opens, sensations, emotions, impulses or images may arise, not to be analysed, but to be felt, completed and integrated.
This work can support the resolution of patterns linked to prenatal stress, birth trauma, early separation, shock, or environments where safety was inconsistent. It can also bring insight into long-standing themes such as anxiety without cause, emotional overwhelm, a sense of being unsafe in the body, difficulty receiving support, or the feeling of always having to manage alone.
Rebirthing is not about reliving trauma. It is about allowing the nervous system to finish what was interrupted, at a pace that feels tolerable and resourced. Sessions are held with clear support, grounding and integration so the body is not pushed beyond what it is ready to process.
For some clients, rebirthing becomes a powerful complement to counselling and somatic EMDR, offering access to layers that words cannot reach. For others, it stands alone as a deeply restorative, body-led healing practice that supports emotional reset, clarity and a renewed sense of inner safety.

Human Design adds a layer of clarity that most people don’t realise they’ve been missing. It helps you understand why you feel the way you do, why certain patterns repeat, why some environments drain you, and why your nervous system functions the way it does.
When we weave HD into counselling, the work becomes more personal, accurate and embodied. Instead of trying to fit yourself into roles, expectations or strategies that exhaust you, we look at your natural energy, decision-making, emotional rhythms, sensitivities, relational patterns and life themes.
This isn’t about labels or limitation. It’s about recognising your unique blueprint so you can stop abandoning yourself and start working with your nature instead of against it.
Many clients say this integration helps them finally understand their burnout, their emotional patterns, their relationship dynamics and the deeper layers of their identity. It brings relief, permission and direction.
If something inside you knows it’s time to shift, we’ll take the next step gently and together.
